Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how creeps.ai ("Creeps", "we") processes personal information — both the information of our account holders and the public-record information returned in searches.
1. Information we collect about you (account holders)
- Account data: email address and authentication details, managed through our provider Memberstack.
- Billing data: subscription tier and payment status. Card details are handled directly by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Usage data: searches you run, credits consumed, and standard technical logs (IP, device, timestamps) used for security and abuse prevention.
2. Search results & third-party data (People Data Labs)
When you run a search, we query third-party data providers — principally People Data Labs — which aggregate information from public and openly available sources. The returned profile (name, approximate age, contact points, work and education history, social profiles, locations, and associates) originates from those sources; Creeps is not the originator of that data and does not independently verify it.
3. How we use information
- To authenticate you and provide the search service.
- To meter and bill your subscription.
- To secure the platform, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
- To respond to support and data-removal requests.
4. We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell or rent your account information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Data is shared only with the processors needed to run the service (Memberstack, Stripe, People Data Labs, and our hosting infrastructure) under agreements that restrict their use of it.
5. Retention
We retain account and billing data for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, tax, and security purposes. Search result data is cached only briefly to improve performance and is not retained as a standalone profile database. When you close your account, we delete or de-identify your account data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.
6. Your rights (CCPA / GDPR)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA) and the EU/UK (GDPR) have these rights.

7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, scoped access controls, and reputable processors. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Creeps is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here and, where appropriate, emailed to account holders.
