Terms of Service
Welcome to creeps.ai ("Creeps", "we", "us"). By creating an account, subscribing, or running a search, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
creeps.ai is NOT a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. You may NOT use Creeps or any information obtained through it for employment, tenant screening, credit, insurance, or any other purpose regulated by the FCRA. You must affirmatively acknowledge this at signup.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. By using Creeps you represent that all registration information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it current.
2. Acceptable use
Creeps provides access to information compiled from public and open data sources for general knowledge and identity purposes only. You agree that you will not:
- Use the service or its results for any FCRA-regulated decision (employment, tenancy, credit, insurance, or eligibility for a benefit).
- Stalk, harass, threaten, defraud, intimidate, or otherwise harm any person.
- Violate any person's privacy rights, or use results in a manner prohibited by the Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, or any applicable law.
- Scrape, crawl, resell, redistribute, or create a competing database from results, or use bots to access the service.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
You are solely responsible for how you use any information obtained. Misuse may result in immediate termination and referral to law enforcement.
3. Accounts & security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Authentication is provided by Memberstack. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Subscriptions, credits & billing
Creeps is offered on monthly subscription plans (Recon, Tracker, Investigator), each granting a fixed number of searches ("credits") per billing cycle. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Unused credits do not roll over. Prices are shown before checkout and may change with notice. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.
5. No guarantee of accuracy
Information is aggregated from third-party public and open sources (including People Data Labs) and may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. We do not verify, and are not the source of, the underlying data. Results are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Creeps and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for your reliance on any information obtained through the service. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Creeps harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the service or your violation of these Terms or any law.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings; access continues through the end of the paid period.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice.
